With 15 years of history, we are a nimble and growing agency headquartered in beautiful Boulder, CO, and are seeking an experienced SEO Director to join our team to support our clients and team. 

The SEO Director is responsible for developing, managing, executing, and analyzing SEO strategies and tactics for our clients.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Align SEO strategies on behalf of our client partners to drive measurable business and marketing goals and SEO Key Performance Indicators Collaborate on strategy development in conjunction with cross-functional delivery teams
  • Optimize and evolve the SEO strategic framework and delivery process to drive high quality, repeatable results
  • Be a knowledgeable thought leader in the SEO space and the “go to” subject matter expert for the agency by regularly staying up to date on industry trends and continuous professional development
  • Publish marketing content specific to SEO for the agency to establish credibility and communicate our unique point of view
  • Train and educate new and existing team members as it relates to earned media/SEO
  • Lead, manage and develop SEO team members
  • Participate as a leader in our Marketing and Operational Excellence (MOE) meetings as the representative of your part of the organization
  • Participate in daily/weekly internal meetings
  • Lead SEO audits to support existing and new client growth
  • Develop upon the existing SEO reporting framework to align SEO performance report to client goals and KPI
  • Support weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual performance reporting for our client partners
  • Work closely with project managers to ensure execution of work assignments and management of team resources
  • Seek opportunities to grow client business through the development and growth of strategic initiatives

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years experience with SEO strategy, execution, optimization, and reporting
  • Deep knowledge of technical SEO, e-commerce SEO, local SEO strategy, enterprise SEO, video SEO, on-page and off-page SEO strategy and tactics
  • 5+ years working  with  Google Analytics, Google Search Console, 
  • 5+ years experience working with leading SEO platforms such as SEMRush, Moz, Ahref, Screaming Frog, HotJar, Google Optimize, Crazy Egg
  • 5+ years of digital marketing agency or equivalent client-side experience
  • Hands-on experience with SEO for website migration
  • Knowledge and experience with leading CMS systems such as WordPress, Shopify, Magento, etc.
  • Success with earned link building strategy development and execution
  • Exceptional writing, communication, and organization skills 
  • Rapid comprehension and retention skills
  • Superb client-facing communication skills 
  • Presentation and report writing skills 
  • Strong strategic thinking skills with a proven track record of success
  • Sound judgment and interpersonal skills
