Summary of Role

With 15 years of history, we are a nimble and growing agency located in beautiful Boulder, CO, and are seeking a highly experienced agency operations professional to join our team as the Vice President of Operations (VP Ops).

The VP Ops is responsible for the overall operational health and excellence of the agency.  They establish and manage the core working protocols of the business including delivery methodologies, tools and technologies, and organizational processes to ensure successful delivery of our services.  This person actively seeks opportunities to drive efficiencies for the organization while, at the same time, maintaining high-quality outcomes on a consistent basis.  The VP Ops is in tune with customer needs, competitive dynamics, and other industry forces to inform the models and methods employed by the agency to create a differentiated leadership position in the marketplace.  This person is a strong financial operator and strikes the right balance of scaling the business operations at appropriate milestones with astute management of the profitability of the agency.  The VP Ops is a strong communicator who can affect change adeptly and advance the organization as it evolves.  They are a thought leader in their own right, being at the forefront of current and anticipated industry trends and adroitly adjusts the operating rhythm of the agency to meet the future.  In addition to day-to-day responsibilities, the VP Ops is an active member of the agency Leadership Team helping to develop and execute the short and long-term strategies of the business.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Leads the development, implementation, and consistent execution of “The Parallel Path Way” which is our unique combination of methods, tools, technology, and people to create a successful and differentiated delivery model for the agency.  This includes documented processes to guide associates in their day-to-day work and to onboard new associates
  • Designs and leads the operational organizational structure of the agency
  • Consistently researches tools and technologies that may positively impact the operations of the agency and choicefully deploys ones that benefit the business
  • Regularly evaluates each of our service offerings to support the agency’s positioning and unmet client needs
  • Evaluates and manages delivery partnerships that support our operations and integrates those partners into our methodologies for seamless execution
  • Creates and implements professional development programs to allow team members to grow and evolve in their current and future roles
  • Maintains scorecard of performance for areas of responsibility to ensure we are meeting objectives and delivering consistently high-quality outcomes to our clients and other stakeholders
  • Partners with colleagues to support existing and prospective client relationships and marketing efforts; plans for the process of successfully onboarding new clients and engagements consistent with our standards
  • Actively engages as part of the agency Leadership Team and takes a holistic view of the business
  • Participates in the development of and supports the company’s strategic plans
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Operations or related discipline
  • 7 years or greater of successful agency operations or equivalent leadership experience
  • Experience scaling agency operations across people, process and technology as organizations have evolved
  • Strong financial management skills and history of driving efficient and profitable delivery systems while maintaining high quality outcomes
  • Excellent leadership skills and demonstrated expertise in managing and developing multi-disciplinary teams and working in collaborative environments
  • Highly organized and excellent attention to detail
  • Experience with ad platforms and related technologies (Google Ads, Facebook, GDN, DSP’s, etc)
  • Experience with website analytics tools (e.g, Google Analytics)
  • Experience with CRM platforms like HubSpot and Salesforce
  • Experience working with the Google and Microsoft software suites (G-Suite, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Experience with digital marketing research tools
  • Strong analytical skills and experience
  • Strong critical thinking abilities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • History of being a positive cultural contributor
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing
  • Healthcare, Wellness, Lifestyle industry experience a plus
