This week we announced that Parallel Path is one of the fastest growing private companies in the United States and has landed on the coveted Inc. 5000 list. The details of the award can be found here in our press release, but it made me stop and take a moment to reflect on where we came from just over three years ago…
In early 2009 Parallel Path was sharing tight industrial space with an engineering firm. We had about ten employees and mostly SMB clients whom were operating on rather small budgets. Like most small businesses we were facing the initial effects of the worst recession to ravage the US economy in 50 years.
Since 2009 we have more than doubled our employee base, attracted multiple clients in the in the Fortune 100 and emerged as a leader in Online Marketing Strategy and Execution. Yes, we had determination and worked hard and of course had a bit of luck sprinkled along the way, but there’s another piece that my co-founder and I are particularly proud of: It was our conscientious effort to move towards being strategic with our clients and being true marketing partners rather than just conducting online campaigns. We embraced the “big data” revolution and developed an in-house Analytics Practice to proactively guide our clients to better discussions using data they already had.
It wasn’t always easy but thanks to these big ideas from our team members and a genuine approach to being true business partners with our customers we are able to enjoy the accomplishment of now being ranked on the 2013 Inc. 5000. I’m confident that this is just the beginning of our growth spurt as we continue to move full steam ahead.
Oh and we did move out of our cramped environment into a modern, stimulating and efficient work space in downtown Boulder. Visitors are always welcome!
