Associate Client Strategist

With more than 18 years of history, we are a nimble and growing agency with offices in Boulder, CO, and Columbus, OH. We are seeking an experienced marketer to join our team as an Associate Client Strategist to support our growing client list and team. This is a hybrid role with some travel required.

Primary Responsibilities

The Associate Client Strategist provides vital support across a multi-functional team, working on multiple projects at any given time. This individual has solid experience developing integrated marketing strategies (Paid Search, Paid Media, Display, Video, Content, SEO, Social, Email, Traditional) with best-in-class client service and leadership. This role is equal parts analytical, creative, strategic, organized, collaborative, and proactive. Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of client’s business, diagnoses executional needs based on client-driven KPIs and with support of client strategist, defines strategic approach to address client problems/opportunities.
  • Demonstrates basic understanding of the separate and cumulative role that any given marketing touchpoint can play by contributing to the Marketing Strategy, and begins to understand digital marketing fundamentals
  • Understands how to use analytic dashboards to improve business performance. Contributes to and/or supports the development of monthly performance storytelling/reporting. 
  • Demonstrates ability to build collaborative, healthy relationships across functional internal team and day-to-day external partners. 
  • Participate in the growth of the client strategy group, including process development and training
  • Responsible for growing and retaining client relationships. The lead for strategy, brand, project input/direction, and the voice of the client.
  • Executor of daily strategic tasks guided by the plans of the lead client strategist. Examples include:
    • Strong collaboration with internal, external and cross-functional teams
    • Support for strategic deliverables, including conducting secondary research such as, competitive client research and trend spotting
    • Collaborate with project managers on routine client deliverables and communication
    • Support client strategist on status meetings prepping internal team and capturing any key notes
    • Support the preparation of client briefs for new projects
    • Managing client requests for small revisions, updates to ongoing work, etc.
    • Organize and communicate client feedback to necessary internal partners
    • Support client strategist on invoicing and billing details
    • Organization of clients files, assets, communication, and contracts
    • Support compiling ongoing performance updates and presentations for clients 
    • Other responsibilities as assigned

  • Client Margin
  • YoY Revenue Growth
  • Service Offering Penetration
  • Client Referrals or NPS Score equivalent

 

You’re a great fit if you have:

  • A dynamic personality who’s naturally curious and charismatic with a leading disposition
  • Well-versed in digital marketing
  • Big C creative with a passion for solving business challenges
  • Agency experience… brand experience is a plus!
  • Ability to be comfortable with the unknown and are eager to color outside the lines
  • You are passionate about learning and contributing to the greater success of the team
  • You are adaptable, able to navigate an ever changing workload and unforeseen challenges
  • You are resourceful, finding ways to get things done efficiently and effectively
  • BA/BS in Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • 2-4 years of experience in the marketing industry
  • Based in Denver/Boulder, Colorado or Columbus, Ohio
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, namely Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience using Google Suite (Gmail, Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides)
  • Experience working in a collaborative setting (school projects, sports, etc. included)
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Experience with presenting to groups
  • Strong analytical skills and experience
